As part of our Safety Management System, Kalitta Charters II has established this website for our Dispatch (Flight Following), Flight Crew, Maintenance and Other Corporate Employees to voluntarily identify and confidentially report safety and operational concerns. Reports are reviewed and analyzed to identify problem areas and adverse trends. The information provided by employees is used to identify the root causes and determine appropriate corrective actions which are then monitored for effectiveness. This process promotes collaboration between employees and management for the early identification of hazards and to maintain a proactive approach regarding safety.
Kalitta Charters II in cooperation with the FAA, has established an ASAP for Flight Crew and Maintenance employees. The K2 ASAP is a voluntary, self-reporting program designed to identify and address flight safety concerns that may otherwise go undetected. ASAP uses employee reports to identify significant safety concerns, operational deficiencies, non-compliance with regulations, deviations from company policies and procedures, and unusual events. In partnership with all relevant departments and the FAA, each report is investigated and corrective actions determined based on a non-disciplinary approach to flight safety.
Kalitta Charters II, has simplified the incident reporting process for our Dispatch (Flight Following), Flight Crew, Maintenance and Other Corporate Employees. Incident reports will be investigated and analyzed to identify hazards; determine appropriate safety and/or operational improvements; monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions, and proactively promote employee awareness of potential problems.
Kalitta Charters II has developed a system for the submission of fatigue reports for our Flight Crews, to help identify ways to reduce causal factors leading to fatigue. These reports will be investigated and analyzed to identify root cause, determine appropriate safety and/or operational improvements, monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions, and proactively promote employee awareness on how to mitigate fatigue risks.
